Kim has over 18 years of experience gained in South Africa, the UK and Australia. After graduating in 1997 with a degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy, Kim practised as both a Speech Pathologist and Audiologist in South Africa before relocating to England where she furthered her experience in hospitals, special schools, community clinics and private practice, specifically as a Speech Pathologist.

Upon immigrating to Australia in 2007, Kim continued to practise as a Speech Pathologist and founded Lighthouse Speech Pathology Centre in 2008. Passionate about empowering children with speech and language, Kim has worked primarily in Paediatrics with extensive experience in children with speech disorders related to Cleft Lip and Palate and Velopharyngeal Anomalies.  She has a special interest in this area of speech intervention and offers a second opinion service to other Speech Pathologists. Kim also has a special interest in Sensory Processing and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Kim takes great pride in developing her dedicated group of Speech Pathologists. Kim is a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) accredited as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.  She is also an International Affiliate member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
